Shilpa Mehta began her Yoga inquiry in 1996 when she stayed in an ashram acquiring the true essence of Yoga. Her enrichment deepened in the varied belief systems of Yoga through getting trained at Kaivalya Dham, Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir, and The Yoga Institute. In the same period, she was a Kathak dance teacher as well as teaching pre-primary classes. She is an avid reader, traveler, and YouTuber. She started imparting her skill and knowledge, touching people’s lives through Yoga in 1998. Conducted various Health Camps for various groups of professionals like – Doctors, Executives, Chartered Accountants, and Teachers. Though the earlier training was on a physical platform now she teaches online too. Her yearning for a purpose in life gets ignited as well as satiated by the practicing and teaching of Yoga.

Hasta mudras

Hasata Mudras By Shilpa Mehta

Our Body is made of five elements, viz., Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu) and Ether (Akash). These elements are represented by the fingers of our hands as shown below: The five fingers of our hand when joined in specific manner enable us to achieve the balance of these vital elements and restore us physically and mentally whilst enhancing our spiritual level.
The chart and photographs given below can enable us to perform Hast Mudras to control almost 150 body problems/diseases. These Hast Mudras have been selected out of hundreds of Hast Mudras on the basis of ease with which these can be performed as well as there vast potential to cure/control various diseases. The Hast Mudras can be performed in any body posture or even while walking, sitting, and lying in bed. The Hast Mudras when performed by both hands are more effective as compared to the Mudras performed by any one hand.
